How do you describe the relationship between the Guardians of the Cedars and Israel?

Our relationship with Israel started in 1977, and it was always based on the following principals:

- Mutual trust and respect
- A common fight against common enemies - the Palestinians, the Syrians, the Iranians and their proxies.
- Common ideals, we both believe in democracy and freedom, unlike the Arab countries.
- Israel's respect of the integrity of the Lebanese territory (not one inch of land, or one drop of water). Unlike Syria who wants to annex Lebanon and erase its identity, independence, and sovereignty.

What we expect from Israel is to help us to free Lebanon from the Syrian occupation, because it is in the interest of Israel to have a free Lebanon on its northern borders than an antagonist pro-Syrian Lebanon like now. Noting that in 1982 the Israeli army reached Beirut in order to clean our country from the Syro-Palestinian occupation, but unfortunately the Gemael family missed this historical opportunity.

We cannot face alone all our enemies, the Syrians, the Palestinians, and the Iranians without an ally. And the only ally we have actually in this whole world is the State of Israel, while the big Christian nations are indifferent Vis-à-vis the agony of our beloved Lebanon during the past 25 years of non stop war.

Was the GoC the Political organ of the SLA?

Our fighters joined the SLA because we had the same cause and the same goals. But unfortunately the Israeli policy toward the SLA and South Lebanon was not appropriate, and Lahad was not the right man in the right place.

Can one obtain GoC membership from the USA?

For the time being we ask you to keep in touch with us through any channel possible to you and when we succeed in our mission to win back our free country, then we will welcome any Lebanese who wants to join the Party.
